Baltic Furniture Cluster

Baltic Furniture Cluster (BFC) was established in early 2015 and currently brings together 8 furniture manufacturers, 2 higher education institutions, and 1 regional industrial association. The cluster was created to strengthen the competitiveness of the furniture industry through collaboration between businesses and academia, fostering the development of high value-added products and promoting cooperation among enterprises and research institutions across the Baltic States.

BFC’s vision is to become a reliable and competitive brand in the furniture industry, while its mission is to unite companies capable of developing and manufacturing innovative furniture products based on knowledge, technology, and design excellence. The cluster’s main areas of activity include new product development through joint projects with higher education institutions, continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency, and the development of integrated furnishing services.

For its members, Baltic Furniture Cluster (BFC) provides a range of activities and services:

  • Access to collaborative research, development, and innovation initiatives in partnership with higher education institutions and industry stakeholders;
  • Participation in new product development projects, focused on creating innovative, high value-added furniture solutions;
  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and operational efficiency through knowledge sharing and the adoption of modern technologies;
  • Development of integrated furnishing solutions for hotels, restaurants, offices, retail spaces, residential projects, and other commercial environments;
  • Participation in international trade fairs, business missions, and networking events, facilitating access to new markets and business opportunities;
  • Cooperation with companies and research institutions across the Baltic States, encouraging knowledge transfer and cross-border innovation;
  • Access to a broad network of specialized manufacturers, enabling the delivery of customized and non-standard furniture solutions for complex projects;
  • Exchange of expertise and best practices in design, production technologies, quality management, and sustainability.
